AOL Emails Blocked

Hello,

Currently, I have my AOL (formerly Verizon email) emails getting forwarded to my apple .me account. This has been working fine for at least a year. A few days ago, the AOL email forwarding stopped working. Is Apple blocking AOL emails? When I try to send an email from my AOL account to my me or icloud email account, nothing comes through. I can send other emails to other email addresses from my AOL account with no problem.

Hi NicFra,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you're not receiving email from your AOL account on your iCloud account. Is that right? We're happy to see how we can assist.

Is this happening on a specific device? Do you see the same behavior on the iCloud website when you sign in on a computer? We recommend reviewing this to see if any of these suggestions help: If iCloud Mail isn't working

It also may be helpful to review the forwarding rules set up on your AOL account.

Take care.

This answer is wrong. There is something unusual going on with AOL (formerly Verizon) emails on every device I own. On iPad, and newer Mac, deleting the AOL account that had worked for the past (5?) years and reinstalling it solved the problem.

However, I own 1 older Mac (2009 production), which is maxed out with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. For some reason, deleting the old AOL account and trying to re-install is not working as for some reason the same password that works for my AOL mail account on every other device does not work on this older Mac.

I believe it has to do with a new security protocol or 2-factor authentication, but I cannot be sure, as nothing has worked yet in resolving this issue.

Yes it is just on 1 specific device. There is something unusual going on with AOL (formerly Verizon) emails on every device I own. On iPad, and newer Mac, deleting the AOL account that had worked for the past (5?) years and reinstalling it solved the problem.
