Drafts in Mac Monterey OS Mail App. have no SEND option or means of Editing.

Is there any limit to the variety of dysfunction in Apple OS? Presumably deleting the App. and starting again may work - or is there some "Don't allow editing or sending drafts" button that I've inadvertently pressed somewhere in the bowels of "Preferences"; I also seemed to not be seeing e-mails from many days earlier. I think I just got the answer to my first two questions; just tried to delete a draft and got a semi-meaningless msg. about it not being able to be moved to the Mailbox and something about it not being in the store! NO! uninstalling is not simple - is there some area to Re-set it to defaults?
