Hi, why does my music keep pausing randomly on carplay? If restarted my phone, my apps, reestablished connection but to no effect.
it happens on multiple apps like spotify and MeRadio(local digital radio streaming app)

I literally just started having this issue but I noticed in control center, the volume kept changing and the icon would change as well as if it was connecting to a Bluetooth device. I’m not sure whether it was my AirPods or my car itself connecting and disconnecting but turning Bluetooth off on my phone seemed to fix the issue as I’m connected to CarPlay through USB anyway. Hopefully this helps.
Maybe the “play” button is sending double “play/pause” signals when you’re plugged into the car. One over Bluetooth and one over the usb cable. So imagine you press play, but it happens twice, so first it plays and then quickly pauses after.
Also happens on my iPhone 13 pro but not my iPhone 11 Pro. Happens when streaming music. Using new Apple cables and running latest software.

Ive had this issue too on carplay- I have an old iphone 8 and ios 14 and normally when you hit play on spotify it would pause right away. Unplug, replug and itd be good to go. Over the past 4 days it hasnt worked at all. Spotify has loaded - hit play and it wont work at all. Ive unplugged and replugged in multiple times. Worked on Friday- today is tuesday and it hasnt worked since
Same problem with iPhone XSmax (probably not relevant) and ios 15.7.
playing to Bluetooth speakers. Plays and occasionally just randomly stops paying. The phone still “to thinks it’s playing “ (ie the pause button is displayed as the control on the music app) but no audio. Occurred in the past 4-5 months. I’m assuming apple broke something in the audio Subsystem.
its the basic Gen 1 core feature that apple cannot seem to keep working that are so frustrating. Playing music from files on the phone , reminders list to the watch (v2) , simpel stuff broken by updates.
This is happening to me as well. iPhone 13 pro, 15.6. Video in apps like TikTok are also pausing on their own.
Having the same issue. iPhone 13 Pro Max. Don't have CarPlay in my car. Bluetooth Only .
