Is it possible to connect two laptops to mirror activity?

I'm not 100% sure if the terminology is correct here but I ultimately am trying to achieve the following:


Have Macbook 1 plugged into my main working area and have MacBook 2 free to roam. I am trying to find a way where I could be working on MacBook 1 then need to move to MacBook 2 and be able to pickup where I left off.


Some activities that may be included here are:

Editing documents within Google Drive - or primarily actions taken on web based products

Opening same tabs, seeing same favorite folders within Safari


In an ideal world I'd really like it to be a carbon copy of MacBook 1 or 2 depending on where I'm switching from and to.


Is this possible? Aside from remote access which I've tried but the experience hasn't always felt the best

Anything on Google Drive should sync and be available on all devices. You shouldn't need to take any extra steps.
