Credit cards in wallet when (temporarily) removing passcode

I would like to temporarily remove my device passcode. I get the message: "Your Apple Pay cards will be removed and your Apple Watch will not automatically unlock".

Which cards are exactly removed and what happens to these cards? For example Apple Cash and Apple Credit Card?
Once I turn on passcode again, do I have to manually add all cards (debit, credit, ...) again (including tedious calls with the various banks)? Or will they show up automatically again?

All the cards will be removed and Apple Cash should be turned off. I do not remember if they are automatically added but it may take you through the setting up Apple Pay and add the cards as you progress through the set up and Apple Cash may be turned back on.

Unfortunately this is just what the messages says. I know these will be gone. My question is how easy it is to reactivate things after I enable passcode again.

I could just try it out myself but I don't wanna go through the hassle of hanging on the phone with 10 banks to re-authorize every single card for ApplePay.

When I reset my phone (once or twice a year) it is very easy to reactivate. Why do you need to remove the passcode?
