Photos does not show up under library or media type

I am unable to access my photos under '/Library' or '/Albums/Media Types' from my MacBook.

I am also using a Mac mini with what I believe is the same setting (ie iCloud enabled, Download originals to the Mac) and have no issues. I can get to other items like Favorites and Recents under Library and Video and Selfies under Media types but not Photos so I can view all photos from the MacBook.

Thank you for the help!

Are you asking about the items "Library" and "Media Types" in the sidebar of Photos?

The items in the sidebar have been renamed in Photos 7 on Monterey. What used to be "Photos" is now "Library".

If you click "Library" you can access "All Photos", "Days", "Months", "Years" from the menu in the Toolbar.

"Media Types" never had an item 'Photos', afaik. But we can now filter any album with the "Showing" Filter for Photos.

Are you saying there are no photos at all on the macbook? Or just that some of the folders (like /Libary) are missing?

If the former:

First check that the library is set as the system library - the circled button should be greyed out. (Photos preferences) If it isn’t, click it.

Then check icloud settings are as shown.

Also make sure you have enough iCloud space for your whole library, and lots of free space on your mac and phone.

Thank you for the response.

Unfortunately its the latter. Regardless, I have verified I am using 'System Photo Library' along with your recommendations on iCloud settings. I also verified I have plenty of iCloud storage available.

I can get to 'all photos' by going to 'recent' then right clicking a photo and selecting 'show in All Photos'. Any other suggestions?
