Apple Music glitch, will skip over all my songs

When I shuffle my songs in my library, or even in a very short playlist, after playing couple of songs regularly the app just suddenly has a seizure and will skip over every song and… die. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling, did not work.

Also, wouldn’t let me play certain songs, and again, would just skip. What’s wrong with apple music? Anyone else have same problems?

This is happening to me as well. It was happening on my old iPhone 256GB XS model, and now it is happening with my iPhone 13 Pro 256GB. I always have my phones up to date on the most recent version with automatic downloads. This has occurred through every version of iOS in my experience on both devices.

I don’t know why, but exactly what’s happening to yours is happening to me on Apple Music. It happens LESS OFTEN(it still happens) if I have already downloaded the music. But it may still skip over the music or just stop playing suddenly. If I quit the app and restart again, then it fixes the issue until it freezes or skips again.

This issue occurrs on Wi-Fi and cellular. Any time of day. Anywhere I go. It doesn’t necessarily happen at a particular time of day, if I’m switching from Wi-Fi to cellular or vice versa, or anything else on my observation.

For instance, just last night I was sitting at my desk for hours while my music was playing on my Apple EarPod Pro’s from my iPhone (version 15.1.1 installed at the moment). While sitting there listening to continuous play [the feature that shows an infinite loop and keeps playing similar music after your song(s) are finished in the queue], the music incessantly stopped playing. I had to restart the app multiple times. Like maybe 7+ times. Once I listened to some downloaded music, the problem abated.

Thats just last nights situation. There have been many, many, many others, but it’s recent and hopefully helpful for tech support. Thank you for your help, and I hope my information helps narrow the issue down.

Hello Sensodyn,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities for help with Apple Music!

Could you please confirm what device this is happening on and which OS version it's currently running?

Do you have access to any other Apple devices? If so, is this same issue present on them as well?

Does this happen when streaming music or playing music that has been downloaded for offline?

If it's streamed music, does this happen on Wi-fi, cellular, or both?

This information will help narrow down what may be happening here.

Cheers!

YES I also had to restart dozens of times, a first couple times it worked but now that doesn’t even do the job. I’m even thinking of changing to Spotify, apple music honestly had far too many problems in the past years ive used it.

Anyway, glad to know it’s just not me- I sincerely hope it’s fixed by the next update so we can have frustration-free music! Cheers

I have iPhone 13, and the most updated version of iOS. I don’t have any other devices. It does this with all of my music, downloaded or not, and the first couple times closing the app/letting it crash worked to get it back working, but now it just doesn’t even play. Super frustrating, as I can’t access any of the music I’m paying for. I hope this gets resolved soon :/

cheers
