Google doesn't play nice with Private Relay?

And then I have to prove I am not a robot by completing a Captcha test. Sometimes (as shown in this message), I can't reach Google and must try later.

I expected issues reaching some sites but not Google. Is this expected?

I've seen reports of this when someone is using a VPN to access the Internet. It's possible that the combination of a VPN and private relay is complicating things to the point that it creates a problem.

I had Citrix Workspace running in order to access my desktop at work. I didn't think it would affect accessing the internet via Safari running locally on my Mac. But maybe it can?

Happened to me few times too.

What’s funnier is that Google (and ONLY Google) search suggestions stop working with Private Relay enabled and set for maintaining general location.

I was looking for a cause of my suggestions not working for weeks, even changed my default search engine to Bing (can you imagine?!) and finally it enlightened me.

I’ll wait for it to get out of beta…
