I am unable to download photo from my canon mark iv. Mac Pro 13 ics to USB is detecting the camera but not downloading

New Mac Pro 13 is detecting any camera but not downloading the photos. I tried adobe photoshop, above Lightroom, Canon EOS tool - but same result

Can't download photos I've asked this before. This is the update. I just bought a MacBook Pro (Big Sur, M1, 512) for the space, but I can't download photos from my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. I've chatted with Apple tech, done a live phone call with an Apple tech, and done a live phone call with a Canon tech. Here's the situation: I can connect my camera to my MacBook with a USB cord; the laptop recognizes the camera in devices, but won't highlight it or download the photos in my camera. I've downloaded drivers and tried Image Capture. Same thing -- can't establish a workable connection with Photos OR Image Capture. I'm ready to go back and get another laptop altogether. Would love a simple solution to this. Thanks, all.

I can not seem to import pictures to photos from my canon camera even though the camera is showing as the source of imports I can not seem to import pictures from my Canon Camera even though when I go through doing what I have always done, the program shows that it is recognizing my canon camera as a device to import from when I turn the camera on. It just does not pull the pictures from the camera for me to then import. The camera seems to be working fine otherwise. The same thing happens when I try to import from the camera to my lightroom cc program. It seems like something is blocking imports into the computer (MacBook Pro)
