Mac Mini no signal from HDMI on startup

When I boot up my Mac Mini it says no signal on my monitor. I have to hold the power button down to shut it down and when I start it back up it all of sudden is able to connect to my monitor but it starts up with Recovery Assistant. From there, I am able to restart and I am able to use the computer normally. I have tried to reset the power management via the SMC chip as well as resetting the PRAM. I have also reinstalled Monterey and tried different HDMI cables. I am wondering if there is something that I can do to help the computer see my monitor on boot up without having to go through those extra steps. Thanks in advance!
