AirPods Pro Notification Moving With You from Partner's AirPods - Help Us Stop It, Please!

My partner and I both got AirPods Pros and we both get notifications (not text - iPhone notification) that “An AirPods Pro has been moving with you for a while. The owner can see its location. You can play a sound to find it.” Does anyone have a suggestion on how to turn this off without turning off location settings (I do want to be able to find my AirPods if needed)? Is anyone else having this issue? I found a way to pause the notification for 24 hours, but no longer. Very frustrating. I just moved to the iPhone from Samsung. Thanks for any help.

Hey there whotwos,

Let's team up to look more into the notification you and your partner are receiving on each of your phones.

To rule out being outdated, if you two have compatible iPhone models, the latest version is iOS 15.2.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

While we understand you both are using AirPods Pros, not an AirTag, it is still considered a Find My network accessory. Have you already reviewed this link, along with trying the applicable steps? Check out: What to do if you get an alert that an AirTag or Find My network accessory is with you

If you still have issues after performing the steps above, we recommend reaching out to Apple using this link: Get Support

Cheers!
