shortcut for workflow?

I would like to assign a keyboard shortcut to an Automator workflow. FWIW I keep the workflow in the Applications folder.

I looked in System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts. I looked at all of the items in the left panel. None of them presented my workflow.

I opened the application Shortcuts. I could not navigate within the application to my workflow.

The keyboard shortcut would be a lot easier than having to drill down into the Applications folder. Is there a way to assign such a shortcut to an Automator workflow.

You are choosing a keyboard shortcut that is already assigned to Finder.

⌥⌘C - Copy "..." as Pathname

What I have found in practice is that you must select the Quick Action from the Application Services menu once, and then afterward, the keyboard shortcut, provided it is not in conflict with reserved shortcuts in the operating system or other applications, will then work.

I created the Quick Action. It runs as it should. Now I am having trouble assigning a functioning keyboard shortcut to the Quick Action.

I went System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts>Services. The Quick Action is in there. I have tried assigning two different keystrokes. One is "Option Command C," and the other "Control Option C." I close System Preferences, and I get no response when I type the set keystroke.

Because the Quick Action runs, I expect that problem is in the assigning of the keystroke. Any guesses here? TIA
