Pro Apps Bundle for Education - why does it take so long to send out the codes?

Thanks @n4shid, I hope yours come through quicker than mine. It's now been exactly 5 days since I made my purchase, still no sign of any download codes. It's mind blowing. There is no good explanation to be had for this, it's just lame.

I wondered if maybe they're manually verifying my student status, but even if that were true (and I don't think it is)

• That shouldn't take 3 working days
• They would surely have an automated system to do any checks anyway, it's 2022
• My order status updated to 'shipped' on Thursday morning so any checks would surely have been completed by then but it's now Monday morning and I still haven't received the codes.
• I bought an £800 computer through the education store the exact same way and that arrived the next day, why no long checks then

So ultimately I think it's just a legacy system on the online store that's a very low priority for Apple to modernise.

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with Apple, it's hugely frustrating. All they have to do is generate single use codes for the app store and email them out. That should take seconds. So far it's taken 120 hours and counting.

Spoke with an Apple specialist on the phone this morning who was able to get my codes issued within half hour, so I'm finally installing Final Cut.

I got lucky with a good specialist I think. She agreed that it was ridiculous having to wait any amount of time, but could offer no explanation as to why it had taken so long.

Support say the codes haven’t been issued, and won’t be now until Monday.

I’ve still not been able to get an answer as to WHY it takes 3 business days to email out 5 download codes. It’s inexplicable to me that this is the case in 2022.

It's ok now, the work got done on a friend's computer this afternoon.

My question remains though, 3 business days is crazy.

Just to further highlight how ludicrous this is, I used my student discount to buy a new mac mini from the online store last April and it arrived the next day.

But it’s gonna take 5 days to email me some download codes.
