Is it possible to program the iWatch when it detects that the person has fallen to call another family member rather than an outside emergency service? We want to purchase a device that an elderly member of the family can use to summon one of us. He is never home alone; there are always others present in the house.
It contacts Emergency Services before it will contact the Emergency Contacts listed on the Watch. If you not wish that it contacts Emergency Services, then you will need to turn that off. There is no way to change who it contacts first. The call has to go to Emergency Services and that call end before the Watch/iPhone will text your emergency contacts. It does not call the Emergency contacts, it texts them, after the call is made to Emergency Services.
