How to block ALL sms messages from email addresses?

The "email" spam has become intolerable on iOS devices. Existing features for handling "unknown sender" only work for numbers and not email based messages. Is there a way to simply block all sms where the sender contains @outlook.com or even better block all messages inbound from any sender address which is non-numeric? All existing features of iOS do nothing for these even when using the prescribed "add email as contact. then block contact" approach.

You can forward the to your carrier’s SPAM number (e.g. for AT&T it is short code 7726) so they can block those SMS texts from their end. Check online what your carriers SPAM short code is (a lot use that same 7726 short code).

SMS texts are not controlled by Apple they are under the purview of the cell service providers. These are driving them nuts. Report them to your cell service provider as you get them.

How hard would it be for Apple to allow me to block all messages on my phone that contain the '@' sign from the sender. I haven't had an important message from an email address ever. It seems so simple to make that an option for users if they want to use it. It also would save Apple from having to save those messages in the cloud, conserving tons of space and energy on their servers.
