Extending my Mac screen to iPad

I have a Mac air (13 inch, 2017). I am currently running macOS Monterey. I am trying to use sidecar to extend my macscreen to my iPad air4 but it isn't working. I can't seem to find the Airplay button

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.14

If your Mac and iPad are meet the system requirements for Sidecar you can use the iPad as a secondary display through the display settings on the Mac and the following link explains more ab out this:

I always suggest you ensure your iPadOS is up to date with the recent release of iPadOS 15.2.1 and you can check how to do this in the following link:
