seach in tags finder

hello, i just got new macbook pro m1 max. i use tags a lot in finder. If I search in the finder in a folder such as downloads, the search goes well. If I select a tag and want to search in the files that belong to the tag, it continues to search the entire macbook. I've already contacted support but no luck. What has already happened:

- indexing drive

- montery os reinstalled

- Cleared hard drive and reinstalled everything.

Even if I create another user, the same thing happens. If I change the preferences of finder so that h must search in the current folder, I can no longer type in finder in the search bar. Does anyone have a solution?

Set your Finder Preferences > Advanced When performing a search: [ Search the Current Folder ↕︎ ]. Also, if not set already, visit Finder View menu > Show Path Bar. The current folder that you are in when a Finder window search field is used will show the sub-toolbar Search: This Mac "Downloads".

If you are only searching for a tag color and not narrowing your search using other Spotlight keywords, you may arrive with tag color hits in This Mac category outside of the current folder. That is the way Spotlight works and you cannot game to it do otherwise.

So if you were looking for PDFs that had a red tag or PDFs that had two different tags on them, then:

kind:pdf tag:red
kind:pdf (tag:red AND tag:blue)

If these were not in your current folder that you initiated the search, then they will be in the This Mac category, and selecting the result will show its current path at the bottom of the Finder window. Anything found from the Spotlight menu extra's icon 🔍 search results, when selected, will show their path by just holding the ⌘-key on a selection.

The macOS User Guide has an entry about Narrow your search result on Mac.

hello, thank you for your response. I already had assistance through the apple desk several times this week. Unfortunately, the things you provide don't help. If you indicate in preferences "search in this folder" then I can no longer type anything in finder in the top right of the search window. If I place my cursor overthere and want to type, I can't type anything there. And on my previous macbook with bigsur that was no problem. Since installing with new macbook and montery this goes wrong. The helpdesk indicates that it may be a bug and that I should either put bigsur on it or wait for a possible update. I'm not going to put it back on the latest macbook bigsur. So something strange is happening with my finder. Again, it searches perfectly when I select a folder. But as soon as I select a tag and want to search in the files that belong to the tag, something goes wrong. I already made a Test user on my MacBook and that user has the same problem
