Iphone, accidentally ending call when I pick up phone

I keep my phone in my jeans pocket with the home button aligned with my thumb (at top of phone facing towards hip). When the phone rings, i often accidentally end the call by pressing the home button with my thumb. This is really annoying. Is there a setting on the phone which can be used to stop this behaviour? Thanks.
