How can I access photos on iCloud from an old Mac Air6.2. I cannot find the device in my devices and wonder if it’s no longer supported.

I have a MacAir6.2 that I am trying to add to my devices. I bought it through Apple but nothing seems to work when trying to add it to my account.

The other issue is that there are photos on the iCloud for the MacAir and I cannot access unless I am on the MacAir. How can I access them on other devices so I can save them to my current iCloud?

Hi JB2022,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you aren't able to see iCloud Photos on your MacBook Air. You may also have 2 different Apple IDs.

Your MacBook Air is a 2014 model: Identify your MacBook Air model and will be compatible with macOS Big Sur: macOS Big Sur is compatible with these computers.

It sounds like you have another Apple ID signed into this Mac since you mentioned there are different iCloud Photos associated with it. If you sign out of your device, you'll be asked if you want to keep a copy of the data (like Photos) on your computer: Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac.

You may also want to archive this data: Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud.

Be sure and sign in with your newer Apple ID: Set up iCloud on your Mac. You'll be able to add these older photos to iCloud.

Have a fantastic day!
