Streaming service connection to Apple TV app

I have just learned that I can watch my favorite TV shows from Disney Plus, Prime Video and Hulu on my Apple TV application. So; do I need to install Hulu app on my iPad in order to watch an exclusive TV show of Hulu via Apple TV app? Do I need those apps in order to make the connections to my Apple TV app?
