I accidentally bought the wrong Apple Pencil (I need a gen 1 for my iPad Air 3) from a third party who doesn’t accept returns on electronics. If I take it to apple can they credit it to the right model? It hasn’t ever been linked to anything.
You can visit an Apple Store and ask them.
If it is brand new and you have the receipt, perhaps you'd better try to sell it on your own.
