Apple Car Play crashes in my Honda Accord after the update 15.2.1. I can start using Car Play, but it will freeze or disconnect completely sometimes when I use one of the apps and sometimes when I do absolutely nothing.

If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is enabled. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car and then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.

This solution did not work. Car Play worked perfectly without any difficulties until just before I was prompted to update to version 15.2.1. Since this update, Car Play will not stay active. I can start Car Play and the app will crash or freeze after a dozen seconds no matter what I do. I cannot reconnect without shutting my car off and turning it back on again. I am not forced to use Bluetooth to connect to my car audio rather than physically connecting with a cable to my USB port. I cannot use Apple Maps to navigate without Car Play for safety reasons.
