How roll back to Big Sur without secondary volume for bootable installer?

Is this possible as I have nothing to big enough like a USB OR that works as a secondary volume?

Monterey seems to be totally corrupt and I also can’t roll back to high Sierra as supplied as it says the recovery server is damaged…

This just seems ridiculous now..

On an Intel-based Mac, if you use Shift-Option-Command-R during startup, you're offered the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available. If you use Option-Command-R during startup, in most cases you're offered the latest macOS that is compatible with your Mac. Otherwise you're offered the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available.
