About ANC on Apple airpods pro!

Hello y'all!

I was just wondering if ANC was just for me listening to music, or can I apply it as well when I talk on the phone for the other one not to hear all the noise I'm making cooking for example! I'm sort of deceived after spending so much money on tiny buds to find out that the slightest sound I'm making whilst talking on the phone is heard on the other side like a BLIZZARD passing! Just the crunch of a potato chips seems like if I was a tiny snack eating creature with a jackhammer in someone's ears on the other side and really bugs my arse! BTW, it's the same with the iPhone speaker and it's impossible to have a conversation! The solution for now; I have to put the phone on mute and take it off all the time! Anyway, any tricks or do I have to buy another product to get that precious feature, or does it only exist at all?

Anything there is to be done, a switch to flick somewhere in the settings?

Big thanks, read you later!

ANC on any set of headphones uses microphones on the outside of the case to pick up sound.

This gets passed to a chip that runs an algorithm and generates a soundwave that the speakers broadcast into your ears. This cancels out a percentage of the noise around you that you hear.

This only affects what you hear, it has nothing to do with the voice microphone and what gets broadcast.

It pretty obviously spelled out by Apple:

AirPods Pro are the only in-ear headphones with Active Noise Cancellation that continuously adapts to the geometry of your ear and the fit of the ear tips — blocking out the world so you can focus on what you’re listening to.

AirPods Pro then counter it with equal anti-noise, cancelling the external sound before you hear it.

An inward-facing microphone listens inside your ear for unwanted sound, which is also eliminated with anti-noise.

Noise cancellation is continuously adjusted at 200 times per second for truly immersive sound, so you’re fully tuned in to your music, podcasts, and calls.
