My iPhone 13 is saying not enough storage

I made the switch from Android to iPhone a few days ago and it is saying in my photos that I don’t have enough storage on icloud…but I have 197gb free. Any help in getting this resolved would be appreciated.

Greetings Benh0520,

Welcome to Apple and the Support Communities! We understand you have some questions regarding your photos and iCloud storage and are happy to offer some information that may help.

First we'd like to confirm that you are referencing your iCloud available storage and not the device available storage. Our article What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage? helps review the differences and how each is utilized and checked.

If you do have 197Gb of iCloud storage free, it would then be necessary to check how much storage your photos require. The instructions on that article under "See how much storage you have" will allow you to review the space necessary to backup your photos to iCloud to assess if your current iCloud plan is sufficient to allow this function.

We hope this helps!
