Save a created station in Apple Music

I finally decided to subscribe to Apple Music and I'm really disappointed. I'm looking for confirmation of the lack of one feature and also a Siri issue.

Can anyone confirm that there is no way to save a station I created in Apple Music? As far as I can tell a created radio station can only be found "Recently Played" until it eventually falls off that list and then I would need to recreate it. Is that correct? If so, that's absolutely nuts and will be the reason I move to another streaming service.

My second question has to do with using Siri to create a station that plays only one artist and no others. I figured out how to do it manually in both iOS and macOS but not with Siri. If I tell Siri "Create a station plays only Chet Baker" it will create a station that plays Chet Baker and "similar artists". I don't want other artists. Is there a way to phrase my Siri request such that it will create a station that plays only one artist?

Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Jeff,

Thank for the details. Although you can create a station based on the music you listen too, it does not allow you to save the station, but you can save the song from the station. Also, you can ask Siri to create a station by saying the phrase in the article that is listed under the 'create customer stations' section. This will not limit the station to play only that artist music though.

Hi there,

the lack of features in Apple Music can be frustrating, I know (I hate how I can't organize my 30+ playlists in folders).

But there may be a workaround for that what you're asking.

On the top of the Music app there is a playback display that shows you the current music progress. If you right click there once you've created the station, in the pop-up menu there is an option to "share a link to the station."

If you use that link wisely (e.g. by creating a Siri/menu bar shortcut), it can prove to be a bit more practical than searching for that specific song every time again.

The article you point to DOES NOT answer the question.

The question is: How do I save a radio station I've created in Apple Music.

I can get a station created, but once it is playing, I can't find a way to save it so that I don't have to create it every time. I've looked on iPhone (12 Pro) as well as in iTunes. I just don't want to have to create the station from scratch every time I want to play it. Also, I would like to have the music downloaded onto my device for when I'm in flight.
