Dock not showing on primary display

Hello community,

I am using an external monitor with my MacBook Air 2021 running latest OSX. The MacBook Air display is set as primary display. However, the dock is showing on the secondary display. When I use four fingers to bring launchpad, it also shows on the secondary display. What could be going on? See images of display settings, primary (horizontal pane) and secondary display (vertical pane)screenshot for reference.

Hello asimjahangir,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It looks like you're having issues keeping the Dock on the primary display (Your MacBook Air), and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

To get started, let's try to go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Mission Control section. Uncheck " Displays have separate Spaces".

To apply this change, log out your account then log back in.

You can also, go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar. Set " Position on screen" to either Left or Right. This will lock the Dock to one screen.

In the meantime, if you move your mouse to the very bottom of the display where you want your dock to appear, the dock will view on that display.

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
