MacBook specific Documents and Desktop subfolder created during upgrade to MacOS 12.1 - issue with Blender

Hi!

Yesterday I upgraded from MacOS 12.0.1 to 12.1. During the upgrade 2 folders were created, one under Documents called "Dokumenter – Arnes MacBook Pro" and a similar one under Desktop and some of the content from source folders were copied to these folders.

Both seem to actually be folders on iCloud so I assume the purpose of these may be to distinguish between local files and files on iCloud. Is this the purpose of these folders?

If so I don't quite get the sense of it since there are still folders under Documents which point iCloud. But it may be that these originates from my iPad which was then fetched from iCloud during my recent first set up of my new MacBook?

I guess it makes som sense but there is one back side, which seem to stem from this, I need to figure out how to solve:

One local file I created on my MacBook was a Blender file. When I open this and try to open the cache folder Blender does not find this but opens the /Users folder instead. This despite the fact the the path Blender displays is correct. But may be Blender is not able to traverse across iCloud and local folders?

How should I solve this?
