Shooting at 240fps, and all slow motion videos seem to be dropping frames. When looking at the information of the video (“i” button), videos are showing 209fps, 210fps, 206fps, 216fps, etc…video on playback showing cadences and stuttering. No videos actually hitting 240fps. Using different cameras, etc… help!

"To set a portion of the video to play in slow motion and the rest at regular speed, tap the video thumbnail, then tap Edit. Slide the vertical bars below the frame viewer to define the section you want to play back in slow motion." With that said, have you tried adjusting the frame viewer? Also, are you using quick toggles to change video resolution and frame rate while recording? Have a look at this link for more information:

Neither of your suggestions have anything to do with what I’m seeing or describing, but yes. I know how to edit regular vs slow motion speed during playback, and how to use quick toggles while in the camera app. I’m attaching a screenshot so you might get a better idea of what I’m referring to:
I’ll get varying record rates from 206 to 212fps when the camera is clearly set to 240fps. I don’t know what causes this. Memory leak? Processor overtaxed?
Upon playback, there are frame drops, as smooth motion will play, and then the video will “jump forward” in time by a frame or two, then resume smooth play, and repeat the frame skip. This happens in a regular cadence.
I’ve restarted my iPhone, shot another 240fps video to test, and frame rates were stable at 240 for my brief test. I’m afraid the behavior will “creep back in” between restarts…
