Recently I can’t copy or paste or have select option. I’ve used it for years- copy a selected area of document or pdf - paste it in Pages or Numbers. The majority of my work on the iPad is doing this simple task. I have an IPadPro version 15.2.1. I’ve rebooted. I’ve looked at all settings. I’ve prayed to the heavens and used profanity. Nothing. Help or fix the bug please. Otherwise the IPad is just a jimmy for an unstable table leg. 😕

Does using Split View or Slide Over help? Check out Copy text and objects between Pages and other apps on iPad if needed.

Sadly this only works with a pdf. And it can’t be edited. There is no select option. So it copies the whole page. Photos can’t be copied or dragged. It reformats and selects words without structure of capture. The iPad has completely changed the way you access selection areas. I’ve tried photos to Pages. Nope. Tried mail to pages. No editing the selection. iBooks to pages. Nope only unformatted words. It’s really become useless for me. The selection tool was my best friend. Now I may as well be using a PC with broken fingers and a gallon of tequila in my belly. Stumbling and useless. Such easy features are made complicated with ‘upgrades’. I just am at a loss as to why basic tools are removed. Perhaps it’s a censorship or permission issue? I am considering the new IPad Pro but if the select/cut/copy feature is this choosy then there is no point is there? Ugh. I notice there are lots of others frustrated with this issue. Please explain if it’s a glitch or a permanent change. Thank you!
