Registered number expiring soon - iMessage and FaceTime

Hi,

Since this morning, I suddenly got the notification that my phone number expires soon. It states that this number is registered to my Apple ID, but not to this phone. I immediately looked for answers on the internet and this forum, but nothing worked unfortunately.

I have this iPhone for almost 2 years and this number much longer. I did not do anything recently (like buying a new phone, changing any settings or do something with my sim card). So I have no idea why I see this message.

Things I've done:

  • Restart phone
  • Confirm that this number is my number (I don't have another number...)
  • Reset carrier settings
  • Turn iMessage and FaceTime off an on
  • Look at any settings to see if somethings has changed

Happy to hear any advices.

iPhone 8, iOS 15

Hi,

Thank you for your reply!

I also tried that. Unfortunately it didn't work. This morning I contacted Apple Support and they also don't know what is wrong after going through different options. Only thing I can do is update to the latest iOS version. If that does not fix the problem, I have to contact Apple Support again.

Best regards!
