Macbook air’s right speaker sounds muffled
I just purchased this Mac. Ever since I got it, the right speaker sounds muffled. Is there anyway I can fix this?

I just purchased this Mac. Ever since I got it, the right speaker sounds muffled. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Perhaps the unit may need exchanging, at point-of-purchase for a replacement.
Depending on if you bought your new MB/Air 13-inch (M1) from Apple Store or
an Apple Authorized Reseller, your options may vary. You may try a few things to
test the MacBook/Air to see if the speaker audio could reflect a change in output.
Some may suggest to start the Mac into Safe mode, where it could check some
files and initiate various behind the scenes repairs; then restart the Mac, to test.
• Start up your computer in safe mode
The computer restarts automatically.
This other Support article spells differences in Apple silicon, & 'Intel-based' Safe mode.
And this is a better article of the two, in my opinion (not necessarily a reliable gauge.)

"If the issue doesn't continue while in safe mode, leave safe mode by restarting
your Mac normally. Then test for the issue again. The issue might be resolved."
