Transferring data to a new phone

My daughter has just got a new iPhone 11 & is trying to transfer data from her old phone - it was taking a long time so she decided to cancel & start again but now nothing is happening - the new phone is buffering & says ‘preparing to transfer’ but nothing happens

what do I do when the transfer stops and I can't advance? What do I do if the transfer of data to my new phone stops and I can't continue the setup? It's an iPhone 11 to 13 Pro Max

I transferred all data from iPhone 7 to iPhone 13 mini but transfer info on old phone has been stuck on "5 minutes remaining" for hours. But new phone is working fine. What should I do? I have transferred data from iPhone 7 to new iPhone 13 mini. New phone now seems to be working but old phone has been stuck on Time Remaining: About 5 minutes" for hours. Is the transfer complete?

If the Quick Start feature isn’t working, can I suggest your daughter cancels the transfer, and chooses setup manually, and then restores from an iCloud backup instead.
