“No signal” would be the expected on-screen message, when the TV input selector is set to an HDMI port that is not in use. If your Apple TV box is connected to e.g. HDMI-4 on the TV, then set your TV to get input from HDMI-4. (This can be automated with CEC for most HDMI devices [Samsung name: Anynet+].) Try re-connecting the HDMI cable, and verify that the plugs are properly seated in the ports.

I think it is correctly connected

Is the Apple TV box active with a continuously glowing status light (not flashing)? Then the Apple TV passed its self-test and the issue should be elsewhere than the Apple TV box.
