Why does Apple not allow military active and veterans to take advantage of interest free monthly payments when using the military/veteran discount?
I am a Veteran and have looked into this extensively. I did not misunderstand or misread. 1. The veteran discount is larger than any other discount available. 2. Using monthly installments removes interest rates (a discount of sorts). 3. You cannot "take advantage" of both programs at the same time. its either one or the other. You can submit a request here - https://www.apple.com/feedback/ - select Apple Pay then select Apple Card. To answer your original question "Why does Apple not allow military active and veterans to take advantage of interest free monthly payments when using the military/veteran discount?" because the offer they are making you is better.
Because the discount for Veterans is more than the educational discount and you can either choose the lowest price you can get it for or making monthly installments. You cannot benefit twice on the same purchase essentially.
It’s not double dipping discounts. Veterans are happy with the discount however we would like to take advantage of monthly payments instead of being forced to pay 100% up front. Thank you for your reply but I believe you misunderstood my original question.
Nobody here would likely know, but the terms and conditions are at https://www.apple.com/us_epp_55499/shop/browse/home/veterans_military
