touch id not working on magic keyboard connected to macbook pro I recently bought a magic keyboard with touch id. It is connected via bluetooth to my macbook pro. However, the touch id is not working. I have made sure that ios is up to date, restarted the computer and keyboard several times. The touch id on the keyboard on my laptop does work but not the touch id on the new magic keyboard. Any ideas what to try?

Cannot use Touch ID on Magic Keyboard I cannot use Touch ID on Magic Keyboard connected to a MacBook Pro 13,2 running Big Sur 11.5.2. Tried paying with and without the USB-C cable. Using a long-press in the Touch ID button locks the screen, but will not respond to open using touch. I also reconfigured the finger prints from the MacBook Touch ID button.
