TV App Home Videos & iPhone Storage

Hello.

The other day I downloaded a movie and some TV shows from my iTunes library onto my phone and when I checked out my iPhone Storage the TV app shows to have space taken up by both the movie and TV shows.

Since then I've synced my phone up to my laptop and ticked the box to manually manage my stuff. From the TV app on my laptop I dragged over some home videos, about 50GB worth, but they're not showing up in the TV app under iPhone Storage. I've turned off the phone and turned it back on. I haven't synced it again since I transferred the movies over but I just find it so strange that they aren't showing up in the storage section. I could've sworn home videos did show up the phone I had previously, my iPhone 6S that was still running iOS 12! Haha!

If anyone has any tips or tricks to make the home videos show up in the storage section it would be much appreciated!!

Hey freakazoid084,

It sounds like you have some questions about some videos you transferred to your iPhone. We can understand wanting to look into that further. We want to help.

The videos may be stored in the Photos app and would show as taking up save in the photos section in storage.

We'd recommend reviewing the information in this article:

Use iTunes to share files between your computer and your iOS or iPadOS device

Manage your photo and video storage

Thanks!
