Looking for a good old video editor

I do mean old, literally.

Hi, hope your day is going well.

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro running with High Sierra (10.13.6), I recently installed a new SSD (Kingston A400 240 GB) and it's running pretty well.

I normally use iMovie to edit my videos but unfortunately, I can't install this app because I would need to upgrade my OS to Catalina (At least).

I'm a little hesitant in upgrading OS (I'm worried it will affect performance), so I was wondering if you could please recommend a video editor app that runs well with High Sierra.
