Peacock subscription not working

I subscribed to Peacock through apple on my phone and I received a confirmation email. When I try to use the app it shows that I still have the “free” plan but when I click on “upgrade” it says I have a premium plan already. Also, when I try to watch premium shows it says I need to upgrade first but, again, when I click “upgrade” it says I already have a premium plan. Please advise.

When I contacted Peacock about this same issue, they said to cancel the subscription in the App Store and re start the subscription directly in peacock. They gave me a free month code as I showed them my receipt for payment.

Seems like they don't know how to fix it, but acknowledge it is happening.

None of you mention on what device you are trying to watch this.

If you subscribed in-app with payments through Apple, then your subscription can be recognized on other Apple devices with the same Apple ID account. No need to sign in. You may need to ‘Restore Purchase’ for each device. This type of subscription may not be compatible with non-Apple devices.

If you subscribed with Peacock directly, then your subscription would be linked to a Peacock account. You would then need to sign in to the app with that account. This type of subscription would be compatible with any device with the Peacock app.

Hi Jhorstma,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you purchased a subscription to Peacock, but you are unable to watch premium content on the Peacock app. We'd like to assist.

Are you able to watch Peacock premium content on the TV app on your iPhone? Have you tried signing out and back in on the Peacock app?

If so, please close the Peacock app, Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch, Restart your iPhone, and see if the subscription updates in the app.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

I am having the same problem on my devices. I am a paid up member of peacock plus premium but my Apple TV, phone and Peacock online say I am on the free account. If I try to upgrade to the Premium on my Apple TV it says I am already a premium member. And around and around the loop I go. I cannot find a number to reach out to Peacock. On their website they have a chat window but it is only a bot.

I just followed the instructions from bcool78 and my problem was solved. If I tried to resubscribe to premium plus it said I already had it. By first subscribing to premium, confirming and then immediately subscribing to premium plus it reset my account to the correct subscription date. I will have to monitor if I get charged twice or not but at least it is working again.

I have the same problem!

Not one tactic has resolved the issue. I have deleted the app, I have hard reset my phone, I have logged out of the app and logged back in, with different sequences of deleting app and or resetting phone. I have canceled the plan and changed the plan, I have 2 confirmation emails for each plan. Apple thinks I have a subscription to Peacock, the app doesn't. when you click on the plan option in the app it says "There was a problem processing your purchases." I am going to try using a different ios device next if it doesn't work I will be reaching out for a refund. I realize this is probably more of an app issue and not a Apple issue. Apple is managing the subscription though at this point.
