Touch screen issues

I have a VERY annoying issue and I want to know if it’s just my phone or if anyone else is also having this problem. As I text the keyboard just starts randomly typing gibberish, when I open any app the screen takes over on its own and will start opening windows/randomly tapping things. While I’m not even touching the screen myself.

When I scroll through information or even photos. It will randomly select something that I did not even tap. Also when I’m swiping through my home screens browsing apps it will start the arrange app function and I’ve accidentally deleted apps because of it. And I use shortcuts so who knows what it was because it happened so quickly. But anyways the only ways I’ve been getting out of it is to just lock my screen and try again. I’m also wiping my screen off pretty often to see if that’s the issue and it usually solves nothing..

Is anyone else experiencing these technical difficulties ? I just don’t want to file a claim if it’s just a common none solve able problem ..

It's called ghost touch and can happen with any touch screen from any manufacturer. Occasionally it's a software issue, sometimes it's a bad connection to the touch control chip or bad connector, but most likely it's the digitizer failing. It's what senses contact with the screen and converts that into input. This is usually fixed with a replacement front screen assembly.

You need to be really careful with it - maybe not even use it until it's fixed. How bad it gets can be intermittent. Sometimes it can cause random touch where it might end up entering an incorrect passcode too many times and you can get locked out as a result.
