Microsoft Word Won’t Leave Dock

It also won’t let me right click it to delete it

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

The reason is that MS Word is running. Quit the app first:

Quit apps on Mac - Apple Support

Use the Dock on Mac - Apple Support

Microsoft Word on Mac: how do I close a window in Word while leaving Word open on the screen in order to open or create a new document? Using Microsoft Office 365 on a Mac mini. When I close a document, the whole program closes to the Dock, and I then have to reopen the program. How do I simply close a window/document such that the program remains open on the screen, allowing me to open or create a new document. Dock Disappeared Hello, I cleaned my keyboard for first time in a while, and while wiping keys, somehow made my dock at bottom disappear. any help in getting it to stay at bottom? FYI under apple top left, I do not have "dock"

Keeping dock visible while using fullscreen Word I would like to know if there is any way to keep the dock permanently visible while I work fullscreen in Word. The constant mouse-swiping to flush out the dock is maddening. Thank you very much.
