Ipad Charging

I have newly bought ipad pro 2021 - 3rd gen. I have noticed that the battery is charged to 100% but lightning bolt symbol is still seen even for 9hours of charging without using the device. Is this normal?

Hello Jhoy1017,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, your iPad shows the lightning bolt in the battery icon to indicate it is charging after 100%. Right?

Is your iPad still connected to the charger when this happens? If so, this is normal. You will see the lightning bolt until you remove your iPad from the charger as this symbol means it is connected to power - Status icons and symbols on your iPhone.

Take care.
