Accessing photos in social media apps and Canva

Hello


When I am working on social media and trying to create posts and click to upload an image, the Photos file opens but I can't see my photos in it. This also happens in canvas too when I'm trying to upload a photo.


Can you help please as it's making it so complicated to develop materials for the charity I run.

Hi


First your workaround:


Export the photos you want to a folder, and attach them to Canva/social media from the folder (select them in photos and file>export). I prefer to do it that way in any case, because finding and selecting in the Photos app is much easier than in the file browser.


Now - why is the file browser not working? Do you use iCloud photos with optimise mac storage? If so, the photos that are only stored in iCloud won't show in the file browser.


Or are you not using the file browser correctly. You need to click photos in the media section of the sidebar, then again at the top of the main pane, as shown here:
