Make landscape orientation default on FaceTime for Mac running Monterey

When starting a FaceTime call using Monterey on my iMac and MacBook Pro laptop, the call always begins in portrait mode. Once the call is established, the user is able to change the orientation to landscape. I would like to set "landscape" as a default so that calls always initiate in landscape rather than portrait mode. Can anyone help with finding a solution to start calls in landscape rather than switching to landscape once the call is established? Thanks.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.6
