Hey guys, I got my wife a new iPhone 12 recently (last year) and first it had a battery issue, then we claimed it in warranty and got a replacement, and now I see this weird flicker at the bottom of the phone intermittently.
Any idea what this issue is?
And are iPhone 12's usually this defective?

That looks lik a serious hardware issue. It may be connected by a bad battery replacement which should carry a 90 day warranty from the Apple Store, or you may still be in the 12 months original Apple warranty if you bought it from Apple.
First try a Forced restart, just in case.

See my reply above. Repair at Apple for the prices shown or take it to a third party repairer if you want real problems with FaceID etc. and no Apple service options afterwards. . You cannot even trade-in a broken device let alone sell it back.
Now it doesn't even open, rarely does it open, and I'm not even sure if the reset is working. Will take it back again to Apple.
Can we get our money back, even if its less than the original price, is there such a policy?.
Sick and tried of this device.
It's still in warranty, I bought it on 23/08/2021, so I will probably get a replacement, but I no longer need a wonky iPhone, is there any way they can refund me instead of a new phone? Because I don't want to keep on going back and forth at Apple.
No warranty in any company will refund cash at this stage in the life of the phone. Check warranty terms for your country. You will have to Google them as whatever link I post be for my country.
This is not typical of iphones, I have never had one fail yet.
Also need to say that water ingress and drop sensors need to be clear in order to get warranty repair or replacement
