Voice Isolation not working

I have 2020 Macbook Pro (updated to latest OS) and AirPods Pro (also updated to 4C165). I've been using Facetime Video for a while and I always used the voice isolation, but only a only yesterday have I not been able to activate it. Originally I could only do Standard and Voice Isolation in my control centre when Facetiming on my laptop, but now I can only do standard.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

Hello Sasquatch_10,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, Mic Mode is no longer working for FaceTime on your Mac. We'd like to help!

It sounds like you're familiar with how to use Voice Isolation via Mic Mode, as discussed here

Change audio options for FaceTime calls on Mac and here Use FaceTime on Mac. Have you tested this option in other applications outside of FaceTime to see if the same behavior follows? Does this happen on all FaceTime calls, or just when calling certain contacts?

Try a simple restart of your Mac, and reconnect your AirPods once more. Does that bring the option back? If not, try setting up a test user account on your Mac (Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac) and see if the same issue continues.

Keep us posted with the results.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care!
