XPC Connection Error on Java Installation

I am trying to install Java 8, update 321 onto my Mac (macOS 12.1). I have uninstalled, gone directly to the Oracle web site and nothing has worked. I get this message...

I downloaded EtreCheckPro and ran this report...

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

Hello SeabrightBeach,

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about that difficulty with installing Java on your Mac.

Did you use the Java Uninstall Tool during your prior troubleshooting? Java Uninstall Tool for macOS

If so, you’ll want to reach out to Oracle to get further assistance: Java Help Center They’d be in the best position to assist with installing their particular app.

Take care.

hello, i have the identical problem. I followed the advice of uninstalling java and tried to reinstall but it didn't work. I went through the java uninstall/install tool, and my macbook is fully updated. I spent probably two hours on the phone with Apple last week and although the tech tried a ton of different things, we were still unable to solve this. Super frustrating! Has anybody come across this?? thank you!

Yes. I have the same problem!! I worked with the technician from the medical software application in my office (NueMD). Their software uses Java. The technician tried everything: uninstalling, installing an older version of Java, etc. Nothing has worked. I cannot install Java on my brand new MacBook Pro. My entire medical office uses this software. It works fine on my Mac mini and I was able to install Java without a problem. Just not on my new Mac. Very Frustrating. Can anyone at Apple help?
