Daily spend limit UK

I know there is a transaction limit of £100 but is there a daily spend limit? I had a £2 transaction declined and cashier said I was over my daily spend but can’t find it anywhere and Apple support just sent me the transaction limit info. Apple Pay has worked fine both before and after this.

applepay restrictions in Asda I tried to pay for my weekly shopping in Asda using ApplePay (£130) and it was restricted to the contactless limit of £45. I have asked Asda why they have made this decision as it is counter to their CV19 commitment as I had to use my card and touch the machine. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can retailers dictate the spending limit when one of the feature of ApplePay removes that restriction? I have contacted Asda for an explanation.

Apple Pay is only a contactless method of using your current cards. the UK sets the daily limits and you would have to looking whatever law that is.
