podcast app document & data files

the podcast app seems to store gigabytes of documents & data files. deleting the app, restarting the phone and reinstalling the app didn't help.

how can i purge the unnecessary data?

I notice that Podcasts use a lot of storage: App size: 15.4 MB Documents and Data: 4.77 GB I deleted all the downloaded episodes I could find but the size of Documents and Data has barely budged. Deleted Data in app moves to Files app I was using a screen recording app and I decided to clear all the recordings within the app (approx. 50GB). Once I did so, the amount of storage used by that app went down but the storage used by the Files app went up the same amount (50GB). I even deleted the original app and the files app still shows the same amount of storage used. I also attempted to shut down and turn back on my iPad to maybe clear the cache but it's no use either. How could I clear up my storage?

delete podcast app off ipad?it says its taking up 17.89 GB of my 64 GB. I I know you can’t really delete the podcast app. But it says it is taking up 17.89 GB of my 64 GB on my iPad. I have deleted all individual episodes listed. I don’t understand what could possibly be making it that big since I don’t ever remember using it on anything other than my phone. Can anyone help me shrink that/remove it/tell me what happened to make it so huge?
