DVD to my Photos Library

I am trying to get my DVD video to my Photos Library. I have a DVD that was made from transferring a video camera tape to a DVD disc. I am playin the DVD on my MacBook Air through an Apple USB Superdrive. When I click on the DVD on my desktop, a folder called VIDEO_TS appears. In that folder are files called:

VIDEO_TS.BUP

VIDEO_TS.IFO

VIDEO_TS.VOB

VTS_01_0.BUP

VTS_01_0.IFO

VTS_01_0.VOB

VTS_01_1.VOB

How do I get the video to transfer into my Photos library, with all my other pictures and home videos?
